Millions of people in the UK breathe air full of dangerous gases and toxic particles. The Royal College of Physicians say that 40,000 deaths a year in the UK are linked to air pollution.

We all have the right to breathe safe air. It’s shocking how little the Government is doing. Dirty air regularly breaks the legal limits.

The Cabinet Minister, Oliver Letwin, is considering scrapping all green safeguards and replacing them with a single 50-page document.

Cardiff Council is about to declare a third Air Quality Management Area (AQMA) at Stephenson Court, close to the Newport Road and City Road junction.

Pollution caused by traffic in this area is higher than the legal maximum. There are four main causes for this:
